Exclusive Private Carp Lake in France

Aerial viw of exclusive private carp lake in France - Echo Pool

The aerial view above shows the main carp fishing lake at Echo Pool, along with the principal stock pond used to support the long-term management of the fishery. In addition to the main water, there are two smaller stock ponds located out of view, which play an important role in maintaining the quality and growth of the carp.
Echo Pool operates as an exclusive private carp lake in France, offering anglers sole access to the main lake during their stay. This ensures low pressure, a controlled environment, and the opportunity to target big carp in complete privacy.

Lake Layout, Features and Fishing Access

The main lake at Echo Pool is just under 3 acres in size and is fed by both natural springs and a steady stream, ensuring excellent water quality and consistent turnover throughout the year. Depths range from approximately 4 to 12 feet, creating a variety of fishing situations across the lake.
With the exception of the immediate swim areas, the margins remain at least 4 feet deep, with certain sections dropping to 8 feet. This depth profile provides carp with security and encourages natural movement around the lake.
Beneath the surface are numerous underwater features waiting to be discovered. These areas are constantly evolving as the carp exploit natural food sources, meaning no two seasons fish exactly the same.

Underwater Features and Carp Holding Areas

During a controlled partial drain down, a number of key underwater features were exposed, offering valuable insight into how the carp use the lake. These areas include natural depressions, subtle gravel patches and feeding zones that cannot normally be seen from the surface.
Understanding these features is one of the reasons Echo Pool continues to produce exceptional carp. The lake is not flat or featureless — it contains depth changes and natural structure that reward careful observation and accurate fishing.
